Red rain

 Minulla ei ole mitään sanottavaa näistä. Ei niin mitään. Laitoin pisarahelmet kuparilangan pätkiin ja väänsin langat mutkille. Kiinnostavaa. Kovin.

I have nothing to say about these. Absolutely nothing. I put drop bead on pieces of copper wire and twisted the wire on little curves. Interesting. Very.

Yritän saada otettua parempia kuvia niistä koruista joita minun on vielä mahdollista kuvata joten täällä joidenkin vanhojenkin postausten kuvat tulevat muuttumaan lähiaikoina. Toivottavasti siis siihen parempaan suuntaan.

Pink Panther

Hommasin kasan lasikiviä kokeilumielessä. Tässä ensimmäinen koru jossa sellaista käytän.

I got a couple of glass jewel to try. Here is the first jewelry where I use one. 

Väri toi mieleen timantin elokuvassa Vaaleanpunainen pantteri (Siinä 60-luvun versiossa, jonka muistan vain jokseenkin hämärästi.) ja siltä hyvin hataralta pohjalta idea lähti.
Halusin kokeilla jotain uutta > spiraaleja, ja totesin että ne on muuten ihan pirun vaikea saada symmetrisiksi. (Siispä en tehnyt niistä symmetrisiä.)

The color reminded me of the diamond in the movie The Pink Panther (In the 60s version that I only vaguely remember.) and that's where the idea took off.

I wanted to try something new > spirals, and I noticed that they are damn hard to get symmetrical. (And so I didn't make them symmetrical.)

Yemanja

Mitä otsikkoon tulee, olen lueskellut myyttisistä vedenelävistä kertovaa kirjaa ja korun siniset renkaat nyt sattuvat kuulumaan värisekoitukseen nimeltä Ocean mix.
Nyt korut koriin ja merelle, jospa Yemanja vaikka ystävällisesti täyttäisi pari toivomusta.

I've been readong a book about mythological water creatures and the blue rings happened to be from a mix called Ocean mix, thus the name.

Now the jewelry into a basket and onto the see and maybe Yemanja will grant a couple of wishes.

I used a couple of rings. 622 into the necklace and 134 to the earrings.

White tree of Gondor

Suunnilleen siitä alkaen kun Kaksi tornia (muistaakseni) ilmestyi elokuvana olen pitänyt tästä tietystä Gondorin puu kuviosta. Click me, I'm pretty. Jokin aika sitten sain päähäni tehdä kaulakorun jossa puu olisi.

About since the Two Towers (I think) came out as a movie I have liked this certain tree of Gondor silhouette. (Link above) Some time ago I thought that I would make a necklace with that tree.

Itse korusta versioita oli suunnitteluvaiheessa useampia, mutta tämänmoinen siitä sitten tuli. Päädyin helm ketjuun alun perin koska satun pitämään siitä, mutta tulin jossain vaiheessa myös ajatelleeksi että se sopii nimenkin puolesta aika hyvin, koska sormusten herrassa on Helmin syvänne niminen paikka, vaikka ei ihan Gondorin suunnalla tainnut ollakaan.

I had several different plans of the necklace but this is how it turned out in the end. I decided to use helm chain because I happen to like it but at some point I also came to think of that the name fits too, as there is a place called Helm's Deep in LotR although I think it wasn't on the same direction as Gondor.

Poistin puun kuvasta tähdet saadakseni siitä suuremman ja koska muutenkin oli tarkoitus tehdä tähdet koruun jotenkin muuten. Päädyin käyttämään kristalleja, pieninkin chainmaille tähti (jonka pystyn tekemään) olisi ollut liian suuri tähän.

I removed the stars from the tree picture to make it bigger and because I meant to make the stars some other way. I ended up using chrystals, even the smallest chainmaille star (that I'm able to make) would have been too big.

Ja vielä puu vähän lähempää. Surullista kyllä tämä on paras kuva jonka sain otettua.
